HARESIDE PRIMARY SCHOOL
18th July 2008

Dear Parents

We have organized the key stage 2 classes for next year as follows:

3G will move to Mrs Hooker
3P will move to Mrs Furness
4H will move to Mrs Holmes
4F will move to Mrs Purvis
5R will remain with Miss Ruddock
5H will move to Mrs Fife

As you can see we have a new teacher joining us in September, Mrs. Fife will be joining Miss Ruddock in year 6.

As we become a Primary, our current year 5 pupils are staying with us for their final year before moving on to Cramlington Learning Village.  The number of full time pupils at the school therefore will increase again this year to reach a total of four hundred and thirty two.

Our opening ceremony went particularly well on Tuesday. I do hope the children have relayed to you how impressed Peter Beardsley was with their behaviour.
He actually told them that he has visited over two hundred schools and thought that they were the best he’d ever met.  The children were a credit to you all.

Weather permitting we hope to go ahead with the rescheduled Sports Day on Monday 21st July, apologies in advance if we cancel on the day.

Looking to September, the old building will be fully demolished and the whole site will soon become our own once again.  Hopefully this will alleviate some of the parking problems as all the old entrances will be open.  Plans for the Wildlife Garden will start to take shape and we will be making headway with the MUGA pitch.  There’s a lot to look forward to.

Finally I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support throughout one of the most memorable years in the history of Hareside.

Have a good summer.

Yours sincerely

K. Chetwynd, Headteacher
